• Do you need transportation-related training to advance your career?

  • Would you like to develop your skills on a particular job-related topic?

  • Are you interested in alternative ways to learn outside the standard classroom?

TTAP is excited to extend our core curriculum to you in a new way – beyond the classroom and at times that meet your busy schedule.

Classes delivered online offer flexibility and timely delivery of TTAP’s core curriculum. Every online class covers the same materials as in-person classes. Although classroom training offers a rich experience interacting with other students and a TTAP subject matter expert, online learning might be a good alternative if you need training at a convenient time for you.

Two ways to learn online

In order to offer maximum flexibility to students, TTAP online classes are provided in two distinct formats, both of which can be completed from the comfort of your own environment.

Option 1: Self-Paced (Click for Description)

The first option is a completely self-paced class consisting of four 15-minute lectures and four quizzes. Complete the lectures and quizzes in order and at your own pace. Each self-paced class will take approximately 2 hours to complete.

Complete four modules at your own pace. Each module includes:

  • Recorded lecture
  • Quiz

You will earn 2 contact learning hours upon successful completion of the class. A certificate of completion will be immediately available to print.

Option 2: Instructor-Led (Click for Description)

The second option is an instructor-led 4-week class covering the same material, but with the addition of collaborative learning options to reinforce the training. Weekly discussion forums to engage with the instructor and other classmates allow you to interact with fellow students while receiving feedback from the instructor. Weekly practical exercises reinforce the week’s online material, further reinforcing your usable skills related to your workplace.

Content is released at the beginning of each of four weeks. You will have 7 days to complete that week’s assignments. The instructor will be available by email and phone for questions and comments during the class, and will be interacting with students through the discussion forums and the assessment of completed practical exercises. The instructor-led 4-week online class will take approximately 6-8 hours over the 4-week period.

Complete four modules, one each week, at your own pace. Each module includes:

  • Recorded lecture
  • Quiz
  • Discussion forum
  • Practical exercise

You will earn 6 contact learning hours upon successful completion of the class. A certificate of completion will be immediately available to print.

Choose the option that best meets your learning needs and availability. Self-paced classes offer a shorter time commitment and are available on-demand, but will require independent learning. Instructor-led classes offer student support, instructor engagement and feedback, communication with other students across the country, and hands-on learning opportunities, but are offered on a specific schedule that is spread out over a 4-week period.

You will earn a certificate of completion for 2 contact learning hours upon successful completion of a 2-hour online class. You will earn a certificate of completion for 6 contact learning hours upon successful completion of a 4-week online class.
